Victoria Dalla Zanna
Registered Speech Language Pathologist
My name is Victoria Dalla Zanna, and I am a Registered Speech-Language Pathologist with Mainland Speech Language Pathology Inc.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Communication Disorders at Biola University in 2014 down in Los Angeles, CA. I completed my degree while playing soccer as a collegiate athlete. Following Biola, I spent time working as a soccer coach for Poco Euro-Rite FC, an Industrial Audiometric Technician with the Vancouver Police Department, and a speech-language pathology assistant with Chelsey!Following these experiences, I was accepted to Minot State University in Minot, North Dakota, to complete my Master’s degree, which finished in May 2019. During my Master’s degree, I worked in a variety of settings, focusing on pediatrics from 2-18 years of age.
I have experience working with children on the autism spectrum, selective mutism, articulation disorders, expressive language delay, Apraxia of Speech, fluency disorders, AAC, and phonological disorders.
I was also lucky enough to present intervention strategies for selective mutism at the American Speech and Hearing Association’s national conference in Boston, MA, in 2018.
Before returning home to British Columbia, I was an intern at Doernbecher Children’s Hospital, a level one trauma hospital in Portland, Oregon. I worked alongside their top pediatric feeding and swallowing specialist in the NICU, ICU, acute care, and out-patient settings.
Since beginning my career at Mainland, I have gained experience in early intervention, seizure disorders, myofunctional therapy for tongue thrust, and social communication difficulties.
I consider myself an upbeat and genuine individual that puts the family’s needs first while empowering them with the tools they need to assist their child on their communication journey. I love what I do, and I am grateful for everything that has led me to Mainland Speech Language Pathology Inc.
